Here is a very nice example of a Batak Amanremu sword. The sword is 25.5in. overall with a thick, heavy, single fullered blade of 19.5in. The hilt is carved and polished SE Asian water buffalo horn in classic form and decorated with silver and copper with silver ornamental danglers. The hardwood scabbard is bound with multiple silver bands and a silver locket and silver and copper chape.

A lovely, rather rare sword in excellent condition!
