Default unknown archaic looking hardwood-club

Hello,

Here is a archaic looking unknown old hardwood-club. With 63 cm and a weight of 1.65 kg a quite heavy representative of its kind.
I am not sure about the wood nor origin.
My guesses are, it is from either from Australia and ironwood or african blackwood (Dalbergia) and from a savannah in Africa.
It looks old, the tool marks are disappeared and the grain of the wood comes through like a fingerprint. The aging process of hardwood proceeds very slowly.
The handle was once completely covered with pitch or black resin. Only some remains are preserved, which are completely dried out.

Thank you for reading and any comments are very welcome.

Best wishes Roland

Interesting. Must be Australian Aboriginal with the typical spinifex resin, however I havn't seen that form of club before.
