Default Identification and translation please.......

Could anyone help me with this sword please? Is it an army wakizashi or ......? To me it seems to be a frequently used one and not of a collectors item quality. However I'm anxious to learn more about this weapon and would like to know what the inscription says. Thanks for your help,
Njo

Hi Njo,
I'm afraid to say this looks to me to be a poorly made modern Chinese copy frequently sold on internet auction sites.
Regards,
Norman.

I'm in total agreement with Norman. I'm sorry.
