it looks definitely a blade which was , at some point, repurposed but started its like as an knife that was used , as Fernando says, as a Kitchen or Butcher knife.

The hilt is very nice for an utilitarian knife, I am not sure it could be called a Gaucho Knife.

I have found other knives marked Shuller Solingen (if you look up these two terms ), also those seem to be located in South America.


I see Machetes en other types of knives ( all for sale so I can't publish pictures)
