The decoration of the spine reminds me of Afghani daggers.

The handle is the inner core of walrus ivory.

Looks like a northern Indian region kard with gold koftgair on the blade and hilt. The scabbard looks to be possibly silver with a gold wash over it. Very nice puppy. Yes, I agree, walrus ivory hilt.
