These are the names of the seven youths of Ephesus.
There may be a date at the beginning of this inscription.

Saracen is correct, the names of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus and their dog (worn and with mistakes). In the roundel at the beginning of the decoration is the name “Mahmud”, presumably the maker

Hello,
Really a BIG Thank you Saracen and Kwiatek for your precious help about translation and informations about the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus !!!!!

Sorry for being late to answer, I was on holiday with no e-connection ( maybe like asleep !

I read that in islamic culture the name of the sleepers and their dog were written on items as a protection against evil eye.

Interesting to learn that the legend was/is known in Europa , north Africa and Asia in Christian and Islamic culture.
an nice accordance,
fortunately not the only one but precious to remember in these sensitive times !

Kind regards
