Keris For The World - Jakarta 3-8 June 2010

Some updates from Jakarta...

There will be a Keris Exhibition in Jakarta 3-8 June 2010. I'm no the organizer but just trying to pass on some information across.

In summary, there will be Keris Awards for Keris makers, keris workshops and videos, and an opportunity to have your keris printed on the Exhibition Catalog (for sale to public for rp500,000.00/ each). Showing each individual new or old kerises and some details about the owners / collectors. (I believe a few of viking members here already sending their CD's)

Details below:

Location: Galeri Nasional Indonesia ( Indonesian National Galery)
- Jl Merdeka Timur No. 14 Jakarta Pusat (depan stasiun Gambir / In front of Gambir Train Station)
Opening time: 10.00 AM till 21.00
There will be seminars, keris video documentation, keris workshop, and keris stalls
Awards for Kamardikan keris
Rewards for empus and other related parties
Keris For The World 2010 Catalog (New or Old kerises are applicable) :
- Opportunity for Keris Collectors to have his/her kerises to be printed on the catalog including the owners detail (printed at the back of the catalog)
- Pictures/CD received latest end of March; Picture 2,000 – 3,000KB size. The keris does not necessarily to be displayed during the show.
- Picture of the full warangka and keris side by side plus sorsoran area to show the dhapur or any other important area to be shown on the picture.
- Picture of the owner and some details: name, address, phone, job title, reason to own/like to collect keris, any other information.
- Catalog size 24 cm x 30 cm (around 270 pages which consist of 1 keris for each page)
- Each collector will receive 1 catalog for each keris printed in the catalog
- The catalog will be sold rp 500,000 each for public
- Fee: rp 1,000,000 for each keris

The deadline for submissions: 31th march.
Maximum 10 kerises for each collectors.
