Default nco,s spontoon. help needed

hi, just had this spontoon delivered from an auction house. which was listed as an 18th cen british nco,s spontoon.
I think this is a copy, as it just looks far to new. and the wood as no marks from use, blacking from hand marks etc.and the end of the shalf shows no wear at all.
what do you think. michael

please note that the cross arms are one section and the blade a second.
it looks wrong to me, michael
