Default Russian sword ID

A friend of mine has acquired a very unique blade. As you will see on the pictures the blade was reassembled on a more recent hilt which appears to be decorated with the Russian coat of arms and I am guessing could have been done in the 19th century. But I am more curious about the blade; would anyone have an idea on its age?
