Default Igorot Shield and Head axe

I warmed to the beautiful old patina most of all when I first saw this shield and now by the order of she who must be obeyed , to the wall these go....collecting can become a problem when the other half wants you to keep items...but thats good...right????

Nice matching. Great when a shield and weapon come together.

These are both from the Bontoc tribe of Igorots in the Northern Philippines.

Thanks Battara, it is nice together but the axe hasn't grown on me...the jury is still out on that point but the shield is on the wall and looks great against a stark white background.
