Default Please translate Arabic or Jawi on old lantaka

I posted here over a year ago asking if anyone could read the Jawi that appears on the five-foot-long bronze lantaka in the photos. At that time, as I recall, no one was able to fully interpret it. I am trying again.

Last time I posted I was told this was in Jawi, but this AM another poster told me it is Arabic. Maybe someone could clear that up. I thought Jawi was essentially Arabic used to write in the Malayan language.
Thanks!

p.s. In the first several photos, there's a very dark area in the lower right of the photo. I must have done that digitally right after I took the photos long ago, but I have no idea why, maybe that part was blurred and I blacked it out on purpose. Anyway the entire inscription is shown left to right in the series of photos, if some text is blacked out in one photo, it shows up in another.

If you look at the breech (rear half) of the cannon, notice the long slots molded into the breech. You can see those slots in the closeup photos of the inscription. The inscription is on the underside of the breech, about midway between the dolphins and the rear end of the breech. The inscription photos are arranged in order from left end of inscription to right, and obviously the photos overlap. If you look closely, you can see that some of the diacritical points did not catch any of the white ink, so please mentally color those white.

Dom, thanks very much for attempting. Thanks for changing the images to negative also, they are much clearer after your processing. I will save your handiwork as it will help others read it, given of course that they are familiar with whatever language is involved.
