Default wooden katar

Hello, found this on my last trip to India.I visited on a furniture store which sold, mainly ,newly made wooden furnitures. They also had a couple of antique items like a small casket, wooden window panel etc.and this. The seller said that it belonged to his grandad who taught traditional fighting in the 1920s.Made of hard wood, age cracking and signs of use.Defitinely old.
Have anybody seen these before?Lenght ca.35cm.
