Default PADDLE

I found this paddle amongst the 'heap' in my loft ... I bought it in Weller & Dufty Auctions in 1989 and it was described as an 'AUSTRAL ISLANDS PADDLE' . This part of the world is not my forte so would appreciate any info that members may have. It is approx 130 cm long .

Austral Islands is correct, usually the carving extends all over on these, so probably unfinished on this example, for some reason.

Thanks for the confirmation Colin , much appreciated .. it seems to have had some usage as it is very worn along one edge .
