Default Lantaka with 3 Barrels!

Greetings!

Here is a lantaka I lost at auction.

It is a rare 3 barrel lantaka. After examination (and asking for more pictures) I have determined that this lantaka is:

1. a real (vs fake or recent copy) lantaka (based in things like the proper chape of the touch holes, patina, etc.)

2. Moro and from Mindanao, perhaps Maguindanao (of the few examples I have seen, they seem to come from Mindanao. Datu Piang is pictured with one of his with twisted barrels like this one.)

3. the property of a datu

Also the top smaller cannon may be a signal cannon.

The only draw back is the pinion under the Lantaka. It was made much later.

Enjoy
