Default Very Nice Kattara For Sale

Here is a very nice old Omani kattara sword for sale, and by far the largest one I have ever seen. It is 42in. overall, with a blade of 36in. The blade is likely European made; please note the makers mark. The hilt is covered in wire woven leather strips with the typical iron pommel. The scabbard is leather covered, with real silver locket, chape, and baldric rings, with the locket and chape somewhat crudely worked. The scabbard's leather is bound with intricate wire stitching. $850 + Shipping.

Paypal preferred as payment, but MOs ok as well.

Please email or PM me via the forum if interested.

Thanks for having a look!

The kattara has moved to Ebay with a slightly cheaper 'buy-it-now' price:
