Default 2 rencong rentjong with hippo ivory hilts

Just for sharing. these 2 aged and lovely patinated rencong.

Congratulations Willem,

Very attractive and rare pieces!
PS I noticed the very old hippo ivory handles always have a huge crack. Sometimes it even split the handle in two pieces. This especially can be seen at the rencongs of big gayo handles.

The patina is also beautifull.....

Beautiful hilts!
I see, that the right one still has the gala (resin) filling in the carved ornamentation. Very nice.
