Jambiya. Southern Arabia I guess, others can locate more accurately. Seems quite old, hand forged and like a nice,over average sample to me. The scabbard mountings are nicely engraved. What material are they from? Are they gold gilded?

Nice peice you've got there, distinctively Saudi Arabian. I can also see some words at the back. Can you post a pic of that? I hope I can translate.

Thats a good pic. That word is " Sun' ", "Make of". There must be a word next to that somewhere (usually a name). As for age, Im not the one to ask this; but I do not think that it is older than 100 years.

There seems to be a scratched in name which is hard to see. Does the number 18 mean anything? Thanks again.

There appears to be mysterious scratches next to that word, but I couldnt make anything out. As for the number 18, I do not know.
