Question Arms antiques in Beirut Lebanon

New friends visited last night for dinner and I showed them various pieces from the mid-East. They were quick to identify the countries of origin despite not having "studied" edged weapons as we do: they are both from Beirut. They said many such items are available there (and remarked that yatagans are readily found). They are going soon to visit relatives and agreed to shop for me. I'll instruct them as well as I can.

Does anyone have any useful info on sources of quality edged weapons in Lebanon? I'd like to increase the odds for success in their shopping.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Dave A
