In the book "De inlandsche kunstnijverheid in Nederlandsch Indië" by J.E. Jaspers and Mas Pirngadie pictures are shown of Javanese spears and tombaks without methuk. Apparently a methuk wasn't a necesary item.
This weapon that is shown is present in this book and is described as a javanese spear or pike (javaanse piek). |
