The scabbard is definately sikin panjang / Aceh and not original to the pedang.

This pedang would have a simple wooden scabbard that is oval, close to round in diameter. Maybe with some simple silver bands.

I also notice some traces of red paint on the hilt.
A scabbard could have also been painted red.

I believe the lower jaw of the creature/dragon is missing.
With a complete hilt it would have been worth the price. (imho)
Now it went away rather high, but I can imagine that one would bid such an amount, as it is an original item and in that aspect much better than the poshy crap that is being offered from Medan lately via epray.
