Appreciate if you friends could help identify this Klewang which has ended ebay listing yesterday under title: DATED OLD ANTIQUE KLEWANG Indonesian Malayan SWORD KRIS
1295 AH. OWNERS NAME SIGNED ISLAMIC SCRIPT

Be glad if you could focus on:
Origin
The Islamic Script written on the scabbard ( I am unable to identify)

My guess that it is from Sumatra.

Thanks Sajen, it could not be Minangkabau because handle is Dragon? Could it be Batak? ..I doubt because of the Islamic Script. A Javanese perhaps?

Hello Mykeris,

I also don't think that it could be Batak, most of the Batak are christian (but not all), the sheat have some affinitys to Aceh. Why do you think it coudn't be Minangkabau? I don't think that it could be javanese but maybe a other option is Lombok?

BTW, it is the wrong place in Keris Warung Kopi.
