While I must admit I would be guessing, I would presume these to be Central Asian version of hu dei dao, double knives of China, and the pesh kabz style blade profile, Bukharen style hilt suggests those regions.
It is interesting how weapon styles diffused along the Silk Road, and many hybrid style weapons developed in China's western frontiers in latter 18th century. Absolutely fascinating item!!! Best regards, Jim |
