There seems to be quite a variation of features on the LT, like the Ilang.
On the best one I have seen so far the crowit stands out even more than your other one
(the one that I owned for some years) and the blade is heavy decorated.

Michael I think that the ones with the fat metal are a little closer to the parang niabor because we find the same just a little longer on the niabor also
the area has maybe something to do with it but the first handle is for sure Saribas area .

Shelford says about the lT that it is practically the same as the niabor with the handle of an parang Ilang .
And the niabor has the fat metal below the handle.

Yes, the other one of yours is a top piece too.
I agree that the LT and the Parang Nyabur are very close to each other but as usual some individual variations show up now and then.
For instance the crowit of my LT #2 is very close to a kundieng of the Nyabur.
It's too dark here now and I am almost never at home during daylight.
So it will take some time before I will take pictures of the last months acquisitions.

Yes that is the strange about it they are closer with that to an Niabor .

So difficult with the variations .

But always nice to know that they are there .

While waiting for Arjan's pictures here are some of the LT I only had eBay pictures of before.
The blade, which I have cleaned, is very plain without any engravings.
The hilt is quite unusual too.
