Hi Ben.
I already have the last one but I haven't had time to take my own pictures of it. The "missing" fat metal is common but not something that always is there. The LT in the museum of Nijmegen for instance doesn't have it either. That one also has a triangular crowit resembling my first (and the one pictured in Iban Art). All of them have thick shoulders and are quite heavy, but well balanced. It's interesting that the one described in Shelford doesn't seem to have the crowit we usually associate with a LT? There seems to be quite a variation of features on the LT, like the Ilang. On the best one I have seen so far the crowit stands out even more than your other one (the one that I owned for some years) and the blade is heavy decorated. Michael |
