hi lew,

mine was trading under a different shop name then, but a seach by member name brings up the one you got yours from, musta changed their shop name. mine was very much the same as some your supplier is still selling. got some nice stuff, reasonable prices and quite fast delivery. i was happy with them. been thinking of buying a sjambok from them.

i wrapped the haft myself with hand braided twine (i did the braid) to give a better grip & a bit to re-enforce just below the head, before i wrapped it i soaked it in linseed oil for a few days & hand rubbed it with a bit more for a few days after. the position of the string wrap is at a point where it felt comfortable for me. didn't feel right holding it further down. i got mine for talking along on doggie walks....
