Thanks for your further clarification Penangsang, but if I may, I would like to ask you this:-
was it your intention to ask which of the two schools, ie, Solo and Jogja, observed most closely the old tradition of keris maintenance, as it applied in Mataram, or if you wish Majapahit, or any other era. When you refer to "the tradition of the old schools", are you referring to the tradition of methods used in blade maintenance, or are you referring to some other tradition? This is the crux of the matter, and what may have been misunderstood by me. |
