Hi all, here is my new toy!!!!

I think it's a Tenegre (and not a Binangon since the blades are different ). It's Wonderful!!! The blade comes from an old rasp/file, but this not means that is not excellent!! There is no hope: the bug of philippines weapons has caught me Comments are welcome

Love that sword! I really like the little dragon on the scabbard. Tim there is no reason for you to curse at that poor old file .Lew |

Stunning! I vaguely recall a discussion of a Tenegre with this scabbard type being from a certain region. Anyone remember?

And that was made from a huge file. A rasp I think. Steve |

These are usually from the island of Panay in the Visayas. Nice piece and I suspect that there were silver pieces on the head that were later taken off. Nice puppy.

Hello Jose, yeah there are still some little pieces of silver on the head, but many more are gone time ago. There are little holes where the pins went in the wood. Thank you

			Hi All,

The animal on the sheath looks more like a crocodile floating half submerged than a dragon to me. Anyone care to comment? Sincerely, RobT |
