![]() When i had 10 keris i told my wife i would just get one more (i like the number 11 ).... then when i had 21 keris i told my wife, just one more (likewise the number 22).....after 32 my wife just stopped listening to me. I thing you've done well for your collection start. At the very least you have acquired 3 authentic antiques, which is not everyones's initial experience with the keris. Good luck and good hunting.

Thanks guys, Im glad to hear I didnt make a beginners mistake with these 3. I bought them from a gentleman who has been selling alot of these style blades lately. I love them, I hope to get one with a curved blade soon, Im not yet up on any of the terms that get thrown around in here but Im starting to pcik it up slowly.

Make your next purchase a book on the subject.
For starters possibly THE KRIS by Edward Frey ;third edition. Probably available through Amazon.com or most online book sellers. An educated consumer is an astute buyer. Also read this thread: http://www.vikingsword.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000402.html |

I noticed that in your last photo of you entire collection that you posted on the other forum that for some reason you turned all the hilts of you 3 keris in the other direction.
http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3276 This is wrong. The correct position is as they appear in the first photos.
