Would anyone care to take a stab
 at the origin of John's blade. Frankly, the Bugis blades still confuse me quite a bit as does the various styles of dress. Should i assume Nik carved this dress in accordance with the suspected origins of the blade? In what areas does the style hold for a bit of the gonjo to remain showing above the sampir and what is the reason for this?
