Belasungkawa.
My sympahties for the people of Java. Judging from the active seismic movements in that part of the world within the past year or so, I guess the people of the archipelago must be prepared for the possibility of Mother Nature exhibiting her full range of powers in the future. Sometimes, even in the peninsula we can actually feel the mild jolts coming from the volcanic region in the rest of Nusantara, despite supposedly being in a quake free zone (but not too far away, Jakarta is only an hour or so by flight, Medan and Tanjung Pinang is closer.) Nechesh, I believe what you experienced before the tragedy is what the Javanese might call 'wangsit'. |
