Do you also happen to make Yatagans as well? It might be you that I know from FB. and you made some amazing looking Yatagan! You are from Bulgaria correct?

I am Borislav Uzunov, I am from Bulgaria and live in city Troyan. I restoration and yatagans, I shall show tomorrow photos.

Borislav, you do excellent work. The precision of the craftsmanship and the fidelity to traditional forms and styles is commendable. By and large, the quality of the work is better than what I've seen on many wholly-antique boyliyas. Do share your pics of yataghans on another thread, we'd love to see them!

If the barrel is in sufficient and safe condition, do you plan on shooting this gun? With a brand-new stock, you don't have to worry about recoil causing strain on old wood, or dislodging loose inlays!

The reconstruction is stunning. Discussion about limit of such could be long but pointless. One could easily mention contemporary Monte Cassino or some 1000 year Old japanese temples...
Well, it is ethnographic arms forum, so for me it is good news to see old (ethno)skill of ottoman linked kathamkali/sadeli work had not vanish. I suppose some ancient Guns and yathagans could benefit
If those pins would be available on market. Myself had looked for any data about them for pretty long time and in vain.
How do you make those pins? Brass and tar? Wood? Epoxy?

Thank you Teodor and Edster !!! I search with the term mosaic pins and found just what I was looking for. I should have used that term a long time ago.
