If Indonesian it is a conscious copy of an European blade. It is rather of the style of the "Dutch klewangs" which are, however, a nothing-distinct European hanger/messer. FYI A spring temper would be an extremely strong indicator of European origin.
They were unidentified; they were objects; I don't think they were flying
