Hello Steve,
I doubt, I think that it could be a ceremonial sword for dances. On the lower Sunda Islands isn't much tourism. Would need to see better pictures. How thick is the blade near the handle? Regards, Detlef |

Thanks Sajen, I have not got the sword in front of me but the blade thickness at the handle is approximately 2.5 to 3mm thick. it is not very thick, I know, so I can see that it would be a very good possibility as a ceremonial sword. I can try take more pictures if you like.
