Sometimes the obvious gets overlooked. If you haven't been there, don't forget about the Tower of London, for sometime during your visit. Revenge yourself for Tussauds.

Depending on how long time you have, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge should be worth seeing - although I have only seen pictures from the museum.

Thank you Ken, Tim, Jens and treeslicer.
I will push my wife to visit the tussaud during the first day. I think the wallace will be first choice for me and then I will see how much time there will be for more on the following days. Thank you all Thomas |

The Wallace collection is your best bet. While you are checking out the blades etc, the Family can visit Regents Park, which is just up the road and a visit to the Sherlock Homes Museum will be fun, but can be busy, so book if possible.
It won't take you all day to see the Collection, but they have some really nice pieces. |

There's a nice and quaint little antiques market in Islington called Camden passage. You might end up buying a dagger or an antique sword from one of the shops there. Happy hunting!

Yes, if you are interested in Ethnographia, and can get away, the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford is worth visiting
