It looks like a fairly standard hunting knife pattern .
Is it hand forged ? It doesn't look so to me . I would expect a little more patina on the antler for it to be turn of the century age . Nicely made knife ; I like the pinned ferrule . |

I would think this is fairly recent. The blade appears stained but no
significant rusting or pitting. Looks like a factory grind. Also most native Am. knives I've seen didn't have a ferrule, but less one pinned in place. Looks like maybe solder joint between ferrule and blade???? Patina on blade, antler and sheath all look recent IMHO. I'm thinking maybe a re-enactors piece? Just a guess. Rich |

The beadwork on the scabbard was done on a small loom and the large beads look plastic, along with the new leather. I agree with the need for more patina on the stag horn and the patina on the blade. It is recently made and by someone who is using non-Native style. Made for the market.
