Are the images from the Odisha State Museum? When I was there I could not find any weapons on display, but some exhibitions was being reorganized.

Did you also visit the tribal museum? They had some interesting tribal weapons on display but unfortunately photos was not allowed.

Hi Edward,
Any pictures from this or any other museums showing Indian weapons .
Does the Bhubaneshwar museum have a catalogue, and if yes, do you have the e-mail address?
I know photographing in museums is not easy, but you have done very well.
Jens
PS. Should anyone be in doubt, Bhubaneshwar is in Orissa, a very ancient town.

Thanks for the pic of the plaque.
Unfortunately, Indian museums are not very detailed about their items. Everything is "17-18 century" and nothing else.

Their academic level leaves much to be desired. What a pity, they have at their disposal such a wealth of material, but nobody seems to pay attention.

Yes, very interesting museum, and especially good sculpture collection. The sculpture exhibition was closed when I was there but they kindly let me in anyway.

Here is the Odisha / Orissa museum website:
http://orissamuseum.nic.in

Many museums in india allows photo for a small fee but unfortunately the tribal museum did not.

I might have some images from Delhi.
