I have something of similar form mounted on a short length of bamboo. It was no doubt brought back by a soldier. The blade is a bit burned around the tip and the bamboo if I recall. This indicates kids were probably playing with it in make believe war scenes, plotting attacks and defense, on some American farm a hundred years ago. The blades have a characteristic shape which can be readily identified.
