Hi Kino,

Yes I used sterling. They often used sterling to coin silver. Occasionally higher grades of silver, but that then becomes too soft.

The owner wanted it cut, so I loosely based it on others like this and my own ivory kampilan hair.

Yeah it is a special piece - had I the money, I would have bought it, but.....ah......oh well........

I was at least happy to have the privilege of working on it.
