Alam Shah, Very interesting! This one seems to be bigger than the other examples.
Were these solely ceremonial or were these used, say, like a keris in terms of a dagger? What of the big ones? maybe they were also used like Kris Sundang depending on the size. Perhaps if they are ceremonial/ornamental then not at all. ![]() Either way, this is a very interesting development. This is a very great thread. Thanks to all who have contributed. I am not very familiar with Nias culture or blades (much less the rest of indonesia which I am still learning of!) |
