I like the last link, naturally because it mentions texts written by a Portuguese King

, in the following passage:
'The King of Portugal, Dom Duarte, produced several training texts in the 1420s'.
This reminds us that, also in the same website, there is a link where the same King is reported to encourage the training of fencing, namely with the historicaly famous wooden swords (wasters).
