Default Mongolian Sword

The auction has ended and the item is free for discussion.

What do you think? I have some doubts, especially re. "oriental" letters and the claim that greedy Europeans wanted imported silver items to be hallmarked in the European style, but.... somebody will have correct info ( I hope).
These wild Mongols were surely attracted to the most kitschy stuff and the colors of this sword would make a San Francisco bathhouse sober in comparison. I can just imagine Subedei Bahadur wielding this one at the battle of Kalka! Russians must lost the nerve immediately...
On the other hand, I might be totally wrong and ignorant; this might be a superb and unique sword.
Please enlighten me.
