The equity holder sticks with you until the end, but demands the highest return. For me, my cheapest keris was my 1st keris, a Madura muda piece, tilam sari with a few layers of pamor. Cost about US$100. Ever since then, it has been going downhill... erm, going up, I mean. But seriously, the lowest cost-to-value ratio I've paid for a keris was for a Pattani keris, because the owner wanted to get out of collecting. Paid US$490 for it, but its really worth many many thousands, at least in the keris' hometown. I just acquired another keris, a Sumbawa keris, which is on par with that keris, and that cost me much much much more than US$490. |
