Default Tourist Balato

Dear Carlos,

There is already another old thread handling balatos with many pictures and examples. Please use the search function and look for balato.

In that thread some people discussed the originality of balato's.
With some claim that a balato can only be considered original when it dated back to the headhunting times.
Lucky for us that the people from Nias had extensif written records and that they decided unanimous to stop headhunting in 1887 and have published this in there national gazet , that was already wide spread over the Island in those times.

At this price I think you have a very nice buy for a tourist blade.

Best regards,
Willem
