mmmm never seen an SS mark before, 3 arabic numerals normaly denote a soldiers last 3 identyfying numbers in British or British Indian units or Nepali units attached to Brit .indian army post C.1900 pre.c.1920 in my expierience to date.

The intials sometimes identify army base,armoury or indeed unit.

Can you do a close up of the ss & number ? so I can see the nature of what type of stamp , that made the stamp.

That sometimes adds a little info.
