Hi,
The zoomorphic shape of the muzzle looks like the early 16th century Italian fashion, but there are a few things bothering me. The powderpan looks Indian in design.. it is also lacking the typical powderpan lid. The length is far to small for anything serious for that time period. The patina is to even and looks a bit to "good" .. you would see more uneven/lighter places and scratches on a genuin brass piece. I am also not to fond of that square on top of the barrel near the breech. It is not a sight i think but the place where this piece was poured into its mould. I might be completely wrong but i guess it is a replica of a toy pistol. Attached is a link of a Italian harquebus with a similar design. http:// http://www.vikingsword.com/v...ght=Zoomorphic |
