Default Possible Powder Flask?

Hello everyone, my name is Jeff and I'm new to this forum. I live in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada.

I have been curious about an article my father gave me and have been looking high and low trying to find out what it is, where it is from and how old it might be.

After some research I have reason to believe it may be a powder flask of some sort. Maybe Moroccan? I'm not sure, I'm guessing really. It appears to have something like Arabic written on the back and the side of the "stem".

I've had it for years. My father gave it to me probably 40 years ago and I don't know where he got it. Anyways, here are some pictures.

Any help from anyone would be excellent. Thank you in advance for your time.
