Keris with burl wood mounts for comment

Jean Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,740	It seems to me that the common use of jati gembol (teak burl) for making hilts and warangkas is relatively recent in Central Java, may be because of the disappearance of the preferred wood species like trembalo, tayuman, kemuning, timoho pelet, cendana wangi, etc... Any other opinion? Regards
