Thanks for your compliments on my blade and please accept my apologies for my tardy reply to your query about the blade's cross section. There is no concavity to either of the blade sides. It is what I suppose the Japanese would call kiri ha in cross section. Two things that I forgot to mention in my previous posting is the blade's spine tapers from 5/16" at the hilt to a strong 1/8" at the point and the sides of the blade tip are slightly beveled. In a nod to you dha guys I'll call the tip profile a hua tat khong.
