Help with info on a couple of weapons (WWII?)

Hi Harry,

The first knife is indeed from the Philippines and is called a gunong (AKA puñal, puñal de kris, belt kris [but it's not a kris]). It looks like a good one. Based on what I learned in this forum, the second knife appears to be from the Kerala area of India. I think the blade shape is more unusual in that the typical blade on these knives is recurved. Very nice indeed but could use some TLC.
