To come back from where we started
This Mendak looks like half one from Solo. Time and wear may have done some damages to it, but it does not seem much space for an other half. It fits the handle properly and could be of the same age. It looks to be in a mixed alloy of brass with a lot of copper. It could be interesting to analyze it. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, as everybody knows, but before the 16th it was copper and tin… Best regards Cedric |
